On February 22, the Reading Room of the Junior Services Department gathered members of the Famous Books, a club of lovers of world literature, to talk about the great English poet, the romanticist Lord George Gordon Byron, whose 230th anniversary is celebrated this year. "Mourned by freedom," so sounded the topic of the meeting.

This was an extended meeting, in order to attract new members of the club. The event was attended by students from Karaganda colleges: vocational, economics, business and law and the College of Fashion. As guests, teachers and librarians of the above-mentioned educational institutions were invited to the meeting. Alipbiyeva Nariman Kaiyrbekovna, Shishkova Valentina, Mukhanova Anar Kakimovna, Tusupova Nazym Talatovna, along with the participants and members of the club actively participated in the meeting of the club. Also, as a guest and an interesting interlocutor, a fifth-year student of Chetna, who came from India studying at the Karaganda State Medical University, was invited.

 The guys talked about Byron, his work. The event consisted of several parts. In the first part, it was interesting to talk about the life and creative path of the poet, entertaining and little-known facts from the biography. In the second part of the event, students conducted an analysis of works, accompanying their performances with their own vision and perception.

The most emotional and rich was the third part, in which young men and women in different languages ​​read Byron's verses to choose from. There were verses and excerpts from such works as "Childe Harold Pilgrimage", "Forgive", "Love and Death", "Manfred", "Gyaur", "Corsair", "Mazepa", "The Prisoner of Shillon", "Soul" my gloomy "," Prometheus "," Song for the Luddites "," Don Juan "," Cain "and many others. other

After reading in the original language of Byron's poem "George Gordon Byron", the student of the first year of business, management and law college Valiev Ratmir was unconditionally admitted to the club "Famous Books".

The youth at the end of the event came to the general opinion that the work of the great poet, who lived a century and a half ago, is relevant, interesting to this day.

The meeting turned out to be interesting and full of bright performances of the guys, which, in the end, attracted new members to the recording.
